Richard Ashcroft will release his new album Lovin’ You on October 3rd, coinciding with his role as special guest on Oasis’s stadium tour. It’s his first album of new material since 2018.
The lead single Lover, which reimagines Joan Armatrading’s Love And Affection, is already receiving national airplay and praise from Armatrading herself.
Produced with Chris Potter and Emre Ramazanoglu, Lovin’ You blends acoustic ballads, indie-rock, soul, and electro, with themes of love and resilience. It also features I’m A Rebel, co-written with Madonna collaborator Mirwais.
Ashcroft, a two-time Ivor Novello winner, rose to fame with The Verve and has since had a chart-topping solo career.
